General Information:

A church location can best be found by Interstate-Highway (Example: I-25) and state; also search can be by city, even a nearby major city, or by a pastor's last name. Also, gospel tracts are being distributed with the www.findchurch.com website listed for the reader's reference to find a church. Your church could be one of those to be found.

The Church Finder welcomes new church listings. It is our mission to provide a database of fundamentally sound, gospel proclaiming churches for people throughout the United States and Canada. It is assumed that any church requesting a listing by www.findchurch.com, is in agreement with the Doctrinal Statement. We want to maintain a truth in advertising reputation; please read the Doctrinal Statement below, before completing the Application Form. If you have any questions concerning the statement or the wording, please contact us for clarification.

The Church Finder is advertised in Christian periodicals and is registered with major search engines
Try(church finder) and then see A&J Info Church Finder.
Thus, tens of thousands are aware of The Traveler's Church Finder and thousands have accessed its service. If your church has a web site, The Traveler's Church Finder will include a link to your church's site. Remember, a typical search engine produces thousands of possibilities and provides no way to search by the Interstate-Highway (Example: I-75) being traveled and gives little information about the church.

Doctrinal Statement
Of
The Traveler's Church Finder

Note: This Doctrinal Statement is the position of The Traveler's Church Finder.
The churches listed with this Church Directory are expected
to be in agreement with these major doctrines of Scripture.

The Scriptures (Bible: both Old and New Testaments) are the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God(2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; Psalm 19:7-11). In them God has revealed Himself as being Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16,17; 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14), and as having created all things (Genesis 1, John 1:1-3; Colossians 3:16, 17), with Adam being created on the sixth literal day (Genesis 1:27).

With the fall of Adam and Eve, the sin nature has passed to all mankind (Romans 5:12). By nature and practice all men are sinners and are therefore under God's condemnation (Romans 3:10-23; Romans 6:23; John 3:36). God, by His great love (John 3:16), sent Jesus (the promised Messiah of the Old Testament, God in the flesh, The Christ) (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:14, 41; 4:25-26), to this earth. He was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:21-23), lived a sinless life and willingly gave His life and blood as a sacrifice and payment for the sins of the world (1 Peter 1:18-20; 2:22-24; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

He was buried, rose bodily from the dead (John 19 & 20; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4), ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9), is seated at the Father's right hand interceding for believers (Romans 8:34), and will return for His saints ("And so shall we ever be with the Lord.")(I Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 14:1-3). He is coming back to earth to rule in righteousness (Revelation 19:11-20:4).

Each person must trust in Christ's atoning blood for his/her own sinfulness and sin (Romans 5:11; Hebrews 9:22; John 3:14-18), repent (Mark 1:14,15; Acts 17:30; 20:21), and turn to Christ for forgiveness and, thus, be born again. (Romans 10:9,10, 13; John 3:1-7). "Therefore if any man (person: man, woman, boy, girl)be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17) All the ungodly and unregenerate who die without Christ will (Luke 16:19-31), appear at the Great White Throne Judgment, to stand before Jesus Christ, their Judge; and because their names are not written in the Book of Life, will be cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death (Revelation 20:11-15).

All believers are to live righteously (Romans 12:1,2; Titus 2:11-14; 1 Peter 2:11), by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-24; Ephesians 5:18) , and have a responsibility to be separated from the world (1 John 2:15-17) and ecumenism (2 Corinthians 6:14-18). Because of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19,20), all believers have the responsibility to be witnesses (Acts 1:8) by life and word,(Matthew 5:13-16) to the lost.

The ordinances of the church are believer's baptism (after salvation, by immersion) (Acts 2:41; 8:35-38) and the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-32). Both are for believers; neither provides a way to salvation (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5). Baptism is symbolic of the believer's death, burial, and resurrection with Christ (Romans 6:1-6). We do not believe that the New Testament gift of tongues is functioning at this time (1 Corinthians 13:8-10).

Believers are not to forsake the assembling of themselves together (Hebrews 10:24,25).

Therefore, The Find Church Directory as "The Traveler's Church Finder" provides these church listings so that travelers, people moving to a new area, or those seeking a church will be able to find one.
